The Pop Up Gallery at Ealing Broadway is doubling the number of ceramic artists featured in the space.
Handmade pots make great gifts and are a practical way to have unique pieces in your home. With pieces from £10, there is a piece of pottery art for everyone.
Joining the gallery are potters Jill Tattersall, Francesca Coronin and Richard Moonstreet
Jill Tattersall says of her work :
“My passion for ceramics began many years ago when as a fashion student I visited Brick Lane and came home each week with a vase from the 50's and 60's. Now I love to work with contrasts - matt and shiny; black and white; the smooth whiteness of porcelain and the rough earthy texture of grogged stoneware clays. “
Francesca Coronin's Italian origins and esthetic sense are infused into her colourful ceramic creations. Her love of joyful exploration is the basis of her eclectic style.
Richard Moonstreet has an artistic ambition to make people smile. Inspired by nature and wildlife, he loves to give unusual characteristics and features to the everyday; vases with a bird’s face, minimalist ornamental pieces, or gritty grey industrial cooling tower planters. During the 2020 lockdown he found himself stuck at home watching the pigeons on his terrace and then made his own on the wheel !
“Ceramics is an incredible art form and offers so much potential to be quirky and unique” says Richard.
