HUTKE Statement Jewellery by Shalini Bharadwaj at Art House Ealing
Shalini is the Ealing based creator and founder of HUTKE Jewellery, a boutique handmade statement jewellery brand specialising in coloured gemstones. Shalini is often asked where the word ‘HUTKE’ comes from and what it means. The word “HUTKE” in Hindi, means something a little bit different, unusual, off the beaten track or even one of a kind. With a nod to her Indian roots and love for all things original, Shalini offers just that. An exciting collection of handmade statement jewellery in a stunning array of semi-precious gemstones, colours, textures and materials. Most pieces can be customised and requests for bespoke creations are welcome. With prices ranging from £15 - £300 there is something for everyone to treat themselves or someone special.
Shalini’s background is in Graphic Design and Fine Art. She is passionate about good design and all things handmade. Shalini describes herself as a ‘Creative Experimentalist.’ She says, ‘For me creativity is a journey of experimentation and exploration. The process is as important as the end result. Whether it’s painting, digital design or jewellery making, I rarely start with a preconceived idea. I like to see where the material and momentum take me.' Shalini is an accomplished acrylic and watercolour artist and regularly exhibits her work in London galleries and at art fairs.
A small selection of her jewellery, original art, art prints, cards and décor plates are currently available at Art House Ealing.
