See brilliant movies with the Ealing Project’s FunSized Kids Club

Showing movies for under-12s every Saturday at 10.30am for just £3.50, the Ealing Project’s FunSized Kids Club is a great way to see the best children’s cartoons and films. Find out what’s on. You can also buy family tickets for four people from £24 for brand new movies.

Ealing Central Library’s special free events for all ages

Ealing Central Library offers plenty of fun and free ideas for children, carers and everyone else every day of the week. Register for free here.

Tuesdays – 4-6pm Games Club for all ages
Wednesdays – 11-11.30am Storytime for under 5s
12-2pm Crochet
4pm-6pm Chess Club for all ages
Fridays – 10-11am Bounce and rhyme for under 5s
Saturdays – 2-3pm Craft Club for ages 5-10
Sundays – 1.30-3.30pm Chess Club for all ages

Recycle for amazing discounts

River Island’s take back scheme means you can donate three items or more and receive a £5 off voucher (to use on purchases of £40 or more). Boots also offers £5 on your Advantage Card if you recycle five qualifying items (to spend on purchases of £10 or more).

Pick up a free babyccino

Keep your little ones content with their own free Babyccino (frothed milk) at Costa Coffee – for 60p you can also get hot chocolate and a marshmallow.

Painting and crafting ideas

For rainy afternoons and long holidays, get crafting with the kids. @fiveminutemum and @craftedbybears have tons of projects that don’t need lots of cash – but for basics such as paints, beads and £5 glue guns, Flying Tiger Copenhagen and Poundland have you covered.

You could also inspire your children to apply for a Blue Peter Blue badge with one of their drawings which will get them free entry into over 200 attractions for free including Kew Gardens and London Zoo.

Rent sports bits from Decathlon

Borrow books, use the internet for free, book into the quiet study area, get into audio books… Ealing Central Library offers extended opening hours and a welcome place to discover new ideas, authors and a bit of peace and quiet. Register for free here.

Remember: children aged 10 and under can borrow up to 10 items; children aged 11 to 15 can borrow up to 15 items and adults and teenagers aged 16 and 17 can borrow up to 15 items including audio-visual items. The borrow period is three weeks and you can renew on the MyLibrary app too (Google Play and Apple).

Kids’ meals at Comptoir

Comptoir has a great kids’ menu filled with chicken in wrap, cheesy tomato flatbread and the mezze adventure platter (hommos, labneh, veggie sticks, flatbread and falafel) for £5.50 with ice-cream for just £1. Discover the menu.
