New artists joining the Pop Up Gallery

The Pop up Gallery Ealing Broadway is delighted to welcome 3 new artists to the space.

Christina Prechtl prints vibrant eye catching portraits with a colourful contemporary edge. A German artist living in London, Christina uses a strong palette to create stunning images on canvas from which she creates her eye-catching prints.

During her art career she has experimented with various techniques including linocut and lithography, watercolour, charcoal and oil. In her current series Inspiring Women she is using acrylic paint on canvas. Christina uses vibrant colours to portray the human anatomy whilst demonstrating feelings and vulnerabilities.

Aleksandr Ibragimov creates fabulous colourful, impressionistic pieces. Born in Moscow in 1972, Aleksandr was from childhood drawn to beauty, flowers & art. At the age of 37, He set out on his path to becoming an artist. A member of the Moscow Union of Professional Artists his paintings are in private collections all over the world.

You can buy work from Christina for the next three months at the gallery whilst Aleksandr is showing from January 3rd - 16th

From January 17 see the work of Smita Sonthalia.

Born and raised in India, where the vibrant culture, sparked an interest in art very early on. Smita’s paintings are her best friends, philosophers and guides and she enjoys every moment when she has a brush in hand. 

Smita studied a Masters in Fine Arts and primarily draws inspiration from nature, spiritualism and women, all of which are close to her heart. Most of her paintings are mixed media; she experiments with textures, layers, inks, lines, patterns to create a unique piece each time.

The gallery also features a regular group of painters , photographers and ceramicists, where the ethos is to provide affordable, contemporary art from local artists. Originals and prints start at £15 and hand made jewellery from £6. Visit the Pop Up Gallery daily from 11am - 5pm and 11am - 6pm Saturdays.
