Click & Collect really is retail therapy at its finest as once you’ve reserved exactly what you want, you’ve got plenty of time to see what else is on offer. Whoever said you can’t have your cake and eat it too obviously didn’t reserve it online…

We love our click and collect services here at Ealing Broadway. But don't take our word for it - we asked Ealing Mummy Joanne Szczyglowski to trial the click and collect services at a range of our shops to see how they could make #everythingeasier for her:
Like most busy parents my time is precious and I often need to order items online. Sometimes it can be frustrating and time consuming, either waiting in for a delivery or if you miss the postman you then need to make a trip to go to the sorting office. So, this week I decided to try the click & collect service at Ealing Broadway. It is really convenient as you simply order your items online and pick them up at the store at a time to suit you. I had a few different items I needed, so I tried out the services at the following shops:
I needed to update my daughter’s wardrobe for the summer, so I had a browse online at Marks & Spencer. I decided to pick the following items as we have festivals and parties to attend. I thought that this outfit would be the perfect fit and as you can see my daughter loves it!
Multi-coloured cross bar sandals - £18
Pure cotton printed dress - £26
Corsage trilby hat - £10
Glitter heart shaped sunglasses - £6
The great thing about the Marks & Spencer’s click and collect service is that you can pick the date you would like to collect, plus it is free too! My order was actually available to collect the following day after midday. You also still receive your Sparks Points to your account.
We often have lots of children’s birthday parties to attend, so I decided to be orgainsed and make sure I have some gifts to hand when I need them. This time I decided to give Waterstones click and collect service a try. I was pleased to find they have a wide variety of children’s gifts and activities for a wide range of age groups. Their service is free and they keep you up to date via email when your order has been dispatched and when it is available to collect in store. Waterstone points are added to your account once you are set up with them online.
Roald Dahl Splendiferous Spelling Games - £6.99
Paint Your Own Bird House - £8.99
Usborne Big Drawing Book - £7.99
Oliver Bonas was next on my list to try. Again their click & collect service is free of charge. The Oliver Bonas shop in Ealing Broadway has a limited amount of space, so this service means that you can still get some of the lovely items that perhaps they don’t stock in store. I found an ingenious product for the storage of children’s toys. The Play & Go Panda Storage bag also doubles as a play mat. As you can see from my photo my Daughter loves playing with Sylvanian Families which have lots of small pieces. So with this mat there is no need to pick up all the individual pieces, instead just use the draw string of the mat and in a flash all the toys are stored neatly away for the next day!
Elderflower & Lime Reed Diffuser - £20.00
Play & Go Panda Storage Bag - £30.00
My experience of Click & Collect was really a really positive one. It saved me time and it is definitely something that I would use again in the future!
