Merry Mailbox
Spread Joy with the Merry Mailbox.
This festive season, Ealing Broadway is proud to partner with Age UK Ealing and Ealing Central Library to bring you the Merry Mailbox, a heartwarming initiative aimed at reaching out to those who may be feeling lonely in our community.
What is the Merry Mailbox?
Located in Ealing Central Library, the Merry Mailbox invites everyone to write a card to someone who could use a little extra cheer this Christmas. It’s a simple but meaningful way to spread kindness and brighten someone’s day!
Event Dates:
13th November to 16th December
How It Works:
- Pick Up a Free Christmas Card: Stop by the Merry Mailbox to grab one of our festive cards.
- Write a Kind Message: Share your thoughts and wishes to bring joy to someone in our community.
- Mail It: Place your card in an envelope (please do not seal it) and drop it into the Merry Mailbox.
All cards collected will be distributed by Age UK Ealing alongside their holiday hampers, ensuring that your thoughtful messages reach those who need them most.
Why It Matters
Did you know that loneliness affects millions of older adults in the UK? According to Age UK, over 1.4 million older people feel chronic loneliness. Your kind words can make a significant difference in their lives this Christmas.
Join us in spreading festive cheer and helping to combat loneliness in our community. Together, we can make this holiday season brighter for everyone.
